We Dance

We Dance by Bethel – Cover (Rap Composition)

We Dance is a sweet worship song that narrates about you and God dancing.

My church mates and I made a cover with a twist by inserting a rap that they made me write and play the part as well.

It was really something new for me because one thing is I never went up the stage without any other reason but to dance. I also never really composed any song or rap to be specific but I guess this is how the verse below became really evident.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” …  (2 Corinthians 12:9)

I can really say that glory is all on Him because I know that I couldn’t do it. It wasn’t just me but Him who made me able.

Here is the video with the lyrics (plus the rap) below:

Rap @ 3:25

Lyrics:

You steady me
Slow and sweet we sway
Take the lead and I will follow

Finally ready now
To close my eyes and just believe
That you won’t lead me where You don’t go

When my faith gets tired
And my hope seems lost
You spin me round and round
And remind me of that song
The one You wrote for me

And we dance
And we dance

I’ve been told
To pick up my sword
And fight for love
Little did I know
That love had won for me

Here in Your arms
You still my heart again
And I breathe You in
Like I’ve never breathed till now

When my faith gets tired
And my hope seems lost
You spin me round and round
And remind me of that song
The one You wrote for me

And we dance
And we dance
And we dance
And we dance We dance

You always had Your hand waiting for me
I always focused and look on those senseless different scenes
Seeking attention, affection, and found distractions
I didn’t see
This love, yeah, this love that waits for me

A love so intimate, desperate, it’s ultimate
Seeks my touch though knowing me
That I am just unholy and dirty
You took me, gave me love I’m unworthy
Forgive me, I am too filthy

God, I hate me yet You asked me to dance
Now I’m holding these nail-pierced hands
That gave me a chance

We stepped onto the beat
Rhythm with our feet
But it was slow and steady
Sweet enough for You to tell me
This was all You wanted
And this is all I needed

Let’s just move to the melody
Be eternity
I turn, I spin
The longest I’ve been
Dancing in glee, tell me the song won’t end

And I will lock eyes
With the One who’s ransomed me
The One who gave me joy from mourning

And I will lock eyes
With the One Who’s chosen me
The One Who set my feet to dancing

We dance
We dance

It’s nice to know
I’m not alone
I’ve found my home here in Your arms
